Tips and currency

Uruguay accepts the American dollar and the Euro. Suggested daily tips per person: U$S 50.- to be fairly distributed among the field staff.

Licences, Permits and Customs Clearance

After booking we shall send all guests a personal form. 30 days before departure for Uruguay all guests will have to fill in and send us back the form so we may take care of all licenses and permits required by Uruguayan authorities.
Maximum shotguns to be introduced into our country: 2 (two).

Arms and Ammunition

It is absolutely forbidden to introduce ammunition in Uruguay. Our company is a first class outfitter. We sell top quality shells in several gauges. If shooters do not bring their own shotguns, we rent excellent quality shotguns. Gauges recommended are 12, 16 and 20. We advise not to bring 410 gauge shotguns. Cartridges are very costly.

Payment for weapons rental and cartridges sold will be settled during the last day at the estancia, either in cash or with a personal/traveller check (3 % bankers overcharge). We do not accept credit cards.

Beverages

Included: during and after meals beer and top quality Uruguayan wines together with soft drinks and mineral water (with or without gas). Favourite spirits can be brought along.
